I had a great experience with my unexpected two night stay at Woman’s. The two nurses that cared for me, Lora and Dona were excellent, caring and on top of my situation at all times. Very delightful young women that need to be recognized for their skills and caring, upbeat proactive attitude. The pre-op nurse, Jennifer was excellent, putting me at ease prior to the surgery. My physician, Dr. Cole and anesthesiology, Dr. Craig and medical team worked as a team throughout surgery and post-surgery. Hospital staff very courteous.
All staff members were excellent. Checking in was easy, wait time for surgery nurses wasn't long at all. They explained everything going on that day in detail, made sure I understood the process and made it okay for my driver an 2 young kids to wait in my room with me. All nurses an staff members from the day were great, kind an helpful with anything.
Mammogram Experience : I needed a mammogram and they were booked for almost a month. I decided to go somewhere else. I had used them before and don't remember my experience. It was probably fine for my first mammogram. The reason I'm giving three stars is partly because that have no open slots. I feel like a place like this that checks for cancer should probably have open slots available for people whose doctors have found something which needs attention. I consider that an emergency situation, not something to be pushed out a month. But here's the main reason I gave three stars. Baptist Center for Breast Health offered to get me in within two days, on a Thursday, since my doctor found something, but Woman's said they wouldn't have my images (I needed a copy of my past mammogram per Baptist's request) until Thursday afternoon. So now not only can they not get me in for a month, they're holding up my next appointment. Whatever. Fine. I rescheduled to Monday and decided to drop by on Friday to pick them up. Do you know what they said to me? We don't have your images. The system must have gone down the day we sent the images to the radiologist. I didn't get a courtesy call telling me they didn't have them. I wasted gas and time going to get them. I've been their patient before, so my number is on file, or they could have asked for my number when I made the request. Now the new place doesn't have a baseline. I probably give too much info, but I want you to understand the kind of care and courtesy you might expect to receive in this department. It's important to remember that they have multiple departments and maybe those are ok. And I don't recall my last experience being bad. As far as I can remember, it's only this one.
I can truly say my stay was wonderful. Everyone was very polite and so respectful. The nurses staff is AWESOME. Everything that was done was explained to me in detail. I truly thank God for everyone that touched my life. Keep up the great work.
I had an excellent experience at Merit Health for my surgery. Everyone I encountered was so helpful and kind, from the sweet lady at the desk when I first walked in to the 2 sweet nurses that wheeled me out. All the nurses were very considerate and understanding with the care they gave me.
