Always very nice people. Great service. The little food place is surprisingly delicious. I have only tried the traditional wings, fried pickles, and nachos. Out of those the pickles are my favorite. The bar is a bar it gets really busy on Saturday nights. They are limited in liquor content but have all the popular kind. They have a fantastic electric lemonade; the texture is smooth. The lanes aren't always "oiled." I am not a proficient bowler so I don't know who my friend is. They have touch-tunes music, I'm usually the one that buys points just to play my favorite songs; sadly I believe they turn it off on Saturday nights. Definitely family-friendly, but a little less on Saturday nights, with all the drinking. Enjoy bowling here with my friend every Saturday or Sunday. Definitely recommend
Great, safe place to bowl. The food is good. Overall, the atmosphere is nice with outdoor seating. Sometimes there is a musicians on weekends. The pro shop is the best. The owner is very detailed and meticulous when it come to drilling balls. He also had excellent customer service and years of experience.
Fannin lanes is clean, reasonably priced, and a ton of fun! My fiance and I came at a rather busy time but the staff was friendly and took care of us fast. For 2 shoe rentals and 2 bowling games, it was only 20 dollars! It was two hours of fun that keeps you out of that Mississippi heat.
Alright alley could've been better. You can't use the bumpers unless you are 12 or under so my 75 year old grandpa got guttered every single time. The alley is clean, but my grandpa was mad. This place is mid. The lane also broke 3 times because the place is old and bad. This establishment is a true disgrace of the sport of bowling. Norm Duke would be ashamed of this place of gathering.
So lastnight I went to Fannin Lanes & noticed some changes. First, they have security at the front door saying it’s $5 to get in. Money is not the issue however they only accept cash in an economy that hasn’t really accepted cash since the pandemic started in 2020. It’s a huge inconvenience. Second, I sat there and watched other people walk in without paying. The sign on the door says that the $5 charge start after 6:00 pm (if I remember correctly) but the officer/ security guy left his post and people proceeded to walk in and I feel like that’s not fair. It’s only 3 bowling alleys (including Fannin Lanes) in the Jackson/ Central MS area as it is. The first few times I came here I really enjoyed myself but I don’t think i’ll be going back anymore. I feel like if they needed more money for maintenance then why not raise the prices to bowl instead of charging to get in like it’s the club or something?
