My experience was pleasant. The staff was compassionate on yesterday. Unfortunately after two vet visits at another clinic earlier this week, I really wish I would have come here first. Even if the outcome had not been different, it was just a loving environment at this clinic. I'm glad my fur baby spent his last moments around people who genuinely cared.
I brought my dog Charlie in here on Christmas Eve. There was a long wait, but the receptionists set realistic expectations about the time and were communicative about where we were in line the whole time. Ana the vet tech was super sweet and attentive and could tell that I was pretty worried about Charlie. Shortly after she took Charlie to the back, Dr Kirby came in to set my mind at ease while they were finishing with Charlie's exam. He was great, really knowledgeable and friendly, and put me right at ease. Considering the circumstances we visited under, it was a very positive experience! Highly recommend this emergency room for any pet and owner. They took great care of both of us 💞
The black lady at the desk is the opposite of what you want to deal with when you have a sick pet. She was so rude and heartless!!!! I have been here many times of the years. They can never find me in the computer no many how many thousands I’ve spent there or pets I’ve brought. Then, they stick you in a drab room and you better hope your animal isn’t critical because they leave you sitting there with no attention. I finally got up and left this time. I drive my pet to Urgivet in Madison.
I had evacuated from New Orleans and I had left the hotel to go out for my 30th birthday to lighten the mood. When I came back to the hotel my cat was barely breathing. She 23 years old so I’ve had her my entire life and I know she could pass anytime soon but I was not ready for it to be that weekend. I was in absolute hysterics because anything that could go wrong went wrong and I was all by myself in the city that I’d never been to before. I writing this to say that Dr. Mulligan and Chloe are a huge asset to this veterinarian office/team. Regardless if the outcome that evening I want to acknowledge that they took a minute out of their day to comfort me even when that’s not required of them. I just really needed a shoulder to cry on and for someone to tell me it was going to be okay. I will never for you two and the time you took to help Snickers and myself. She’s back home, healthy, and back to her lazy saucy self.
I’ve used this ER many times and after my last visit I reached the breaking point. The staff (not the doctors) needs training on how to interact with clients coming in and how to show concern, care… heck, even a little happiness and joy would be nice. The sterile environment of the lobby I can overlook but when mixed with an apathetic front desk staff is where I’m just done. They could be top notch and worthy of 5 stars if they could get the welcoming committee to act like they want to be there!
